Summer vacation in Phu Quoc island
I was really excited to be back to this lovely island after 6 years.
I had so much fun with my brothers and my sister in the Phu Quoc island trip in the early days of June, 2017. It was rainy season at that time. However, our taxi driver said that we brought sunny and heat from Hanoi to this island, stoped rainy days from the previous week. Good weather, tasty foods and breathtaking views were everything that I really enjoyed.
This is not a review blog post that I don’t have much words and enough experiences to say about it. I just want to tell my story by photos, which were taken during my vacation.
Thanks for watching!
9 Station Hostel & Bar Phu Quoc is a cool place to stay in Phu Quoc island. Overall, the room was clean and nice. We choose to stay in both dormitory room and double room. I, Tom, Ly and Toi booked 4 bunk beds in 4-bed mixed dormitory room with a very suitable price was $11/night for each person. Shared bathroom is large and quite clean, but mosquitoes are blood thirsty. A double room was booked with $40/night for my brother and sister and their baby boy (bathroom included is better). It’s located in Tran Hung Dao street, which was one of the main roads, very near Dinh Cau and Night market. It’s also easily travel to the Sao beach or places in the south of island. There are a lot of resorts, hotels, hostels and restaurants around it.
Little tropical rain in the morning.
There is a huge bar and play area in the 1st floor, which was decorated with a good style. It looks like the coffee shops in Hanoi so I wasn’t interested. No food was service in the evening, so Tom and I’ve drunk beers and played game before came back to the room. The pool… They called it is a pool without “swimming” because this tiny pool is just a place to sit and drink something or to take some photos. It don’t have much space for swimming.
Do you know how to eat a banana in right way? :))
Huong was really excited when she came here for the first time. Sao beach is very charming with white sand and crystal clear water. This was the first time I swam in the rain, which was blowed away by island wind 5 minutes after. Sunshine was back. Happiness was back when we were relaxing in the shore with books, juice and chatting together… and sharing our photos on social network of course :))
Dark cloud. Go. Go. Go. Shhhhh! Shhhhh!
The Shells Resort & Spa Phu Quoc is excellent place to stay and relax in Phu Quoc for us, who want to experience professional services, friendly staffs and suitable price. Located in the north of the island, but it’s easily go to the downtown and visit around places. We stayed in poolside villas (2,5 million dong/night), which is elegance and beautiful decoration, eco-friendly and not try to be luxury place, absolutely private and big enough for 2 adults and a child. Great breakfast and free pickup from the airport to The Shells and opposite. Toi (Duong) didn’t like staying in a hostel like 9 Station. She felt uncomfortable with bunk bed and shared bathroom. So she truly in loved with her room and welcome apple tea in The Shells.
Warm welcome :))
Swimming pool and our villa rooms.
Morning sunshine in the main swimming pool.
Tom, Ly and Toi were basking over there. Enjoyed music and vitamin D, while Quan’s family was still sleeping.
Ly found some photos about this place by Instagram Locations and I searched about it on TripAdvisor to got more information. Mango Bay is well-know for a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment with a lot of bungalows along the beach. Many tourists choose to stay here. However, we’ve just came to the restaurant to have dinner and enjoyed the sunset. Unfortunately, the Mango Bay Restaurant was repairing. So we went to the Mango Bay Resort Beach Bar to drink smoothies and have some burgers and snacks. We came quite late (maybe 6:00 PM), so we had just few minutes to enjoy the twilight moment. Our first time traveled to the beach in West to watch the sun go down to the sea.
Excellent beach bar to enjoyed sunset. I loved the view, decorations, foods and music in here. It was really relaxing.
Kỷ niệm đảo Phú Quốc – 6/2017 (Nghe cho quê 1 tí :D)
Anh Quân, chị Hương, chú bé Táo, Tỏi béo, me, Ly tèo & Tôm đú nhất vịnh Bắc Bộ :))
We also spent our time to discover other places in Phu Quoc island like Night Market, Ham Ninh village, and some restaurants in town. Unfortunately, we were really excited to go, try, eat and chat, so we forgot to taking photos. Additionally, not all places are interesting or looking good in photo.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!
P/S: I know my English and writing skill are terrible. However, I tried my best and I’m still trying to improve it every day.
